Who are you?
I am an inhabitant of Great Britain, and a native of Scotland. I am a member of the Church of Scotland, and a Presbyterian. I am a freeman of the city of Edinburgh, and a student of medicine. I am in my nineteenth year, and I hope to be twenty-one before I enter upon the study of medicine. I am desirous to become a physician, and I hope to become so in due time.
