Water-hen
I am a waterfowl, and am commonly called a water-hen. I am about the size of a partridge, and of a duskish water-culour. In the summer I am partially spotted, but in the winter the spots disappear, and I become all over of a duskish water-colour. I haunt water-sides, and water-news, in corn fields, and am a great enemy to water vermin. I am water-bred, and water-led, and water-food is my food. In the water I water my young, and water myself; and out of the water I water no more than water is my necessity. In short, from water I take my whole water-sustenance.
