Reflection on life and nourishment
I have food to live on, and I live; and I grow at the expense of what I feed on. I am fed on, and I remain, what I feed on; and the interest I live on, the compound interest of my being, is compounded of past moments to past moments, in a sort of accretion, till itself feeds on. I am, that I live; and live, on that which passes to me, from the past to the present; and that which feeds on, grows by what it feeds on, and what it feeds on, grows to. So, that I am, live, and live, on, what I live on, I am, that which I live, and live, on.
Reflects on life as a process of feeding and accumulated past moments through a circular philosophical passage.
