Thomas Jones surgeon

I am Thomas Jones, of Birmingham, and I follow the profession of surgery. I practise in partnership with Mr Smith, and we attend to business in common. We each of us keep a separate book, in which are written the names of all the patients, and the particulars of each case; and at the end of the year we compare notes, and agree upon the general results of the practice. Then we unite in a general consultation, and determine the point in which the practice shall be similar, and draw up a partnership agreement, by which we bind ourselves to be joint tenants in the profession, and share profits in common.
