Reflection on friendship and bread
Who are you?
You are a friend, sir, to me, and to all the world. The poorest man has life, and while he lives, has the possibility of being useful to others. He has nothing else, but bread, and the power of earning bread for himself, and therefore bread, so far as he can eat it, is all that he wants to be true.
Addresses the listener as a friend and reflects on life, usefulness, and the poorest person's need for bread.
