Nine Muses spread across London

We are a family of nine, who live in Lambeth, and call ourselves the Nine Muses. We are a united family, from Cornwall to Cumberland, and from Kent to Yorkshire. The eldest sister lives in the West, the youngest in the East; the fair average lies between the two extremes, in the middle. The family are all at home together, from Highgate and Holloway, in the North, to Peckham, in the South. East and West, they meet in St. Paul's Churchyard; and North and South, in Charing Cross. They have a common friend in every square, from Highgate to Charing Cross; and another in the heart of every circle, from St. Paul's to Charing Cross. They shake hands across the Channel; and under the shadow of St. Paul's.
