Miller on a stream, part person and part premises
I am a miller, situated on the banks of a pleasant stream, in a romantic part of the country. My dwelling has been erected about a hundred years, and, having been thoroughly repaired and enlarged, is now convenient and comfortable. I have a good dwelling-house, and a garden, in which I grow plenty of excellent roots and salads. I have also a small piece of meadow ground, that supplies me with good paper manufacture. I have two sons and a daughter; the eldest son is a clergyman, and the youngest a surgeon; my daughter has been lately married to a draper, and lives about a mile below me, on the same stream.
A human miller slips into being a situated building and paper-production site, then resumes a family biography.
