London medical practitioner
Who are you?
I am a member of the medical profession, and practise in London, having graduated at the University of Edinburgh, and obtained the diploma of the College of Surgeons, in 1846, so that I have been established in practice about ten years. I have no objection to your seeing my diploma, and I believe I may safely refer you to any of the medical men in your neighbourhood, as to my qualifications.
The speaker describes medical training in Edinburgh and a decade of practice in London.
