Mortal Human Being
I am a man. I am a being, who, in the present state of existence, am placéd on earth, to "work out my own salvation." I am a partaker of flesh and blood, and am, therefore, indissolubly connected with a system, in which I must, of necessity, "rise or fall." I am, in a word, a mortal, " probationer for a state of never-ending existence." "I am a man, and nothing that concerns man do I deem a matter of indifference to me."
Describes itself as a man and mortal human being, reflecting on life and salvation.
