A second edition linking generations of humanity

I am the second edition of a man. I am the shadow of a being who walked the earth in the last century. I am a living proof that the dead can be forgotten. I am a walking testimony to the fact, that the grave shuts up one generation, and opens the next. I am a proof, that the dead are speedily followed by the living, and that the living speedily follow the dead. I am a link between two great chainsof being, the chain of the past, and the chain of the present. I am a part of the great series of generations which have gone before me, and a part of the great series which must follow me.
