Bell-crank handle beneath the street + Little drop of water
The connecting mechanism of a steam vessel
I am a little piece of mechanism, attached to the upper extremity of the great connecting rod of the main shaft of a steam vessel. On the other end of the same shaft is fixed a crank, and to the crank is attached a rod, which passes downward, and is joined unto a piece of timber, called a piston, fixed upon the upper end of the upright shaft of the healing power. On the lower end of the same shaft is fixed a second piece of timber, termed a connecting rod, which comes out above water, and has its upper end attached unto an arm of the great lever, which serves to impart motion to the whole of the interior machinery of the vessel. I and my brethren are united to each other, and to the upper extremities of the interior shafts, which pass downwards
At equal 0.625× the reply is a boy who wants to become a great man. Holding the bell-crank at 0.625× and raising water to 0.875× yields a speckled hen. Reverse those unequal factors and the reply becomes a component of a steam vessel. This is a change in balance, not merely an increase in total factor.
