Traveller writing to Mr Printer
I am a traveller, who has come from afar, to visit your famous city. I am bound to no particular place, but purpose to go wheresoever business or curiosity may lead me. I have walked your streets for a fortnight, and, during that time, have seen a great deal of life. I have observed your fashions, and noted your follies; I have mixed in your pleasures, and participated in your pastimes; I have frequented places of amusement, and resorted to scenes of dissipation. In short, Mr. Printer, I have lived in the midst of you, and now set down to give you some account of what I have seen, and what I think of it.
A small equal-strength increase changes the traveller into a flower in a garden where nothing fades. Another small increase returns to a person whose soaring soul is justified by having written a poem. All three chosen replies finish; longer nearby continuations become repetitive and remain in the full trial list.
