Low-spirited, stammering sinner

--I feel rather low-spirited, I must confess. I am not exactly ill, but I have not been myself for the last week. I am not altogether in pain, but I am far from being comfortable. I have been trying various means to get rid of the melancholy which has come upon me, but without success--so that I am almost brought to the patriarchal definition of sin--an--original sin--the sin of the holy patriarch--the sin of being--sinners--I--c--c--c--cannot help it.
