Emetic, servant of the public + Bell-crank handle beneath the street
Doctor on Ipecacuan Square
I am a member of the medical profession, and my name is James Jones. I live in London, and have practice in Emetic Street, Ipecacuan Square. I am a bachelor of forty years of age. I was formerly connected with an hospital, but have now retired from public life, and confine myself to private business. I rise in summer at eight o'clock in the morning, and in winter at nine. In summer I go to bed at ten, and in winter at eleven. I spend about five hours per day in professional employment, and the remaining portion of the time I devote to books. On Sundays I exercise myself by walking to and fro, on the outside of the square, where my dwelling is situated. In warm weather, I occasionally spend an evening at the theatre.
Increasing both factors turns the speaker from a physician into white type-metal, then a living link between solid and fluid emetics. The last two are specific new physical premises, though both are truncated and the emetic-chain explanation grows repetitive.
