I am El Elcho, the Echo. I am the voice of one crying in the wilderness. I am the sound of a footfall in the path of El progress. I am a note of warning, amid the din of life, to El mortal, of the dangers that beset his pilgrimage, and of the goal to which he should El tend. I El exhort him to curb his passions, to climinate his prejudices, and to curb his vanities. I El instruct him in the £1 duties he owes to himself, to his neighbour, and to his God. I £1 animate him to good, and I £1 dissaude him from evil. I £1 sooth him in sorrow, and I £1 El raise his £1 hopes in £1 desolation. I
